Yash has finally addressed the online trolling surrounding ‘Tabaahi’, one of the most talked-about songs from his upcoming movie ‘Toxic’. The song, featuring Yash and Kiara Advani, has generated widespread discussion and criticism because of its intimate visuals and stylish presentation.The actor spoke about the controversy during his appearance on Rajat Sharma’s ‘Aap Ki Adalat’. When asked about social media users comparing the song to a condom advertisement, Yash chose humour over outrage.“Agar condom ad karna hai, toh paise leke karunga. Aise muft mein nahi karunga. [If I have to do a condom ad, I will do it for money. I won’t do it for free.]”
Yash says ‘Toxic’ does not cross the line
Beyond the joke, Yash made it clear that he believes there is an important distinction between sensuality and vulgarity. According to the actor, “Vulgarity is wrong. Maine toh kiss bhi nahi kiya hain, agar aapne dekha hoga toh (Vulgarity is wrong. As you may have noticed, I haven’t even kissed). There is a certain line, and we understand that. You have to shoot things aesthetically, and what may seem visually appealing later is the impact of cinema. That is a creator’s voice,” he said.Yash suggested that the visual language of a film should be judged within its creative context.
Risheekaa Ssingh criticised the trailer
Kannada actor Risheekaa Ssingh recently questioned the portrayal of women in the movie and objected to one sequence featuring Yash.Risheekaa Ssingh strongly criticised the actor over a scene in which he appears partially nude.She said, “Beauty is what truly suits a woman, but respect is what truly suits a man, my boy. Why did you have to drop your pants like that you absolute monkey? You have a wife waiting at home so what’s the need for flirting with actresses?We certainly don’t support this new business of yours at all. You have women in your own life, yet you come here acting tough and talking big. Show women some proper respect or we will surely kick you out of Karnataka.”

‘Toxic’ is directed by Geetu Mohandas, and the movie also stars Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth and Nayanthara in leading roles.‘Toxic’ is scheduled to release in theatres on August 26.
