Yash starrer ‘Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown Ups’ receives ‘A’ certificate from CBFC; Kannada version’s runtime revealed
Yash‘s much-awaited film ‘Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups’ is all set to release in theatres this month. The Kannada version of the film has now cleared the censor process and received its certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Here’s a look at the certificate granted to the film and its official runtime.
Yash’s ‘Toxic’s runtime revealed
According to the Bollywood Hungama report, Yash’s ‘Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown Ups’ has received an ‘A’ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification. The Bengaluru regional office of the CBFC handed over the certificate to the makers today.The report further stated that as per the censor certificate, the film’s runtime is 194 minutes and 12 seconds, making Toxic 3 hours, 14 minutes and 12 seconds long.

‘Toxic’ stars Yash in the lead role. The ensemble cast includes Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, Akshay Oberoi, Balaji Manohar and Sudev Nair. The film is directed by Geetu Mohandas and produced by Venkat K Narayana. Yash has also co-produced the movie under his banner.
Yash addresses rumours of ‘Toxic’ being shelved
At the trailer launch in Bengaluru, Yash addressed persistent rumours about the film being shelved. He said, “Nowadays, I see this a lot. Every time a big film starts, there’ll be news of it being shelved on the 10th day or 20th day! I don’t know where they write these stories. It’s not easy for producers or actors or directors.”He added, “First of all, making a film is like going to war against the whole world! After all, you don’t know what the mood of the actor would be that day or whether they would have sufficient dates. There’ll be so many issues.”The film is set to hit theatres on August 26, 2026.
