According to the latest reports, the singer has cancelled yet another set of tour dates. In a public statement, his team shared more details about his health and recovery.

The 81-year-old musician cancelled his upcoming tour dates following reports of his sudden heart surgery. Although he is recovering, he cannot perform. PEOPLE shared a statement from the singer’s legal representative detailing the situation.The statement read, “Doctors are pleased with his recovery, and Rod is doing very well and has returned to his normal daily activities. On the advice of his doctors, he will take the next four weeks to recuperate and regain full fitness before returning to the stage. Unfortunately, this means he will be unable to continue his current tour dates.” Following the news, his six Las Vegas residency dates have been cancelled altogether.Stewart also told the media he is doing better. He also expressed his gratitude toward the doctors and medical staff who assisted with his procedure and speedy recovery. He stated, “I want to thank the doctors, nurses, and everyone who has taken such wonderful care of me. I’m deeply disappointed to miss these shows and sorry to let my fans down, but I look forward to getting back on stage and having a good time with you all again soon.”Two days ago, his Cincinnati concert was postponed to August 11 after he faced a minor health issue, according to the statement shared online by his team. Not only this, but due to a sinus infection earlier this year, the singer had to back out of a couple more tour dates, which had left many fans disappointed at the time.No other statement has been issued about whether the cancelled tour dates will be rescheduled. The singer released his latest album, ‘Swing Fever,’ in 2024 and had been on his ‘One Last Time’ tour since earlier this year, which has faced quite a lot of hiccups.
