Demi Lovato reunited with Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas at the red carpet premiere of ‘Camp Rock 3’ in Los Angeles.Lovato, who played aspiring singer Mitchie Torres in the first two films, stepped up on the red carpet in a stunning brown silk corset dress. The Jonas Brothers on the other hand, suited up for the big premiere. While Nick looked sharp in a striped suit with a crisp white shirt, Kevin opted for a tank top under a grey suit. Joe, on the other hand, added a pop of colour with his pink vest and trousers.

As per a report on Variety, Demi will make a cameo appearance in ‘Camp Rock 3’, reprising the role of Mitchie Torres. Her rumoured return to the series first spread online, when fans spotted her on the sets, however, her involvement was confirmed only on Tuesday, ahead of the premiere. She is also attached to the project as an executive producer alongside the Jonas Brothers, who reprise their roles as the members of the fictional band Connect 3.

‘Camp Rock’ fans get nostalgic

The reunion took fans on a nostalgic trp with many taking to social media to share photos of Lovato and the Jonas Brothers posing together at the premiere in coordinated formal looks. Maria Canals-Barrera, who played Mitchie’s mother Connie Torres in the original films, and newcomer Liamani Segura were also among those attending the event.Camp Rock 3 is set to premiere on Disney Channel on August 13, followed by its Disney+ release on August 14.

The official logline reads: “The story picks up when Connect 3 lose their opening act for a major reunion tour, returning to their beloved Camp Rock to discover the next big thing. As campers vie for the chance to open for their favourite band, tensions rise and friendships are tested, leading to unexpected alliances, revelations and romances.”

Unlike the first two films, the third instalment will introduce a largely new generation of campers while bringing back Connect 3. Directed by Veronica Rodriguez and written by Eydie Faye, the film picks up several years after the events of ‘Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam’. The story follows Connect 3 as the band loses its opening act for an upcoming reunion tour. The group returns to Camp Rock in search of the next big musical act.The new campers include Sage, played by Liamani Segura; her brother Desi, played by newcomer Hudson Stone; cello prodigy Rosie, played by Lumi Pollack; drummer Cliff, played by Casey Trotter; choreographer Callie, played by Brooklynn Pitts; influencer Madison, played by Ava Jean; and camp troublemaker Fletch, played by Malachi Barton. Sherry Cola is also part of the new cast.
