Although the platform is commonly associated with adult content, Cave made it clear that her account would not feature sexually explicit material. Instead, she posts videos focused on brushing and showing off her long hair.Before launching the account, Cave admitted that she felt conflicted about the decision. In a Substack post, she described joining the platform as a “sense of shame” and said it was “proof of my failure to make (or rather, keep hold of) money as an actress and writer.”She also wrote that she had “nothing to show for 18 years of work in the arts industry.”Speaking to The Times, Cave explained that the decision came after she had “a breakdown” and reached “a point of complete desperation” in her acting career after being rejected for another role.She initially thought OnlyFans would simply help her earn a few thousand pounds before she found another solution. Instead, it became an important source of income for her family.“It’s genuinely saved our lives,” Cave said.
